Your first stop for adventure is the Vancouver Island Outdoor Show!

Vancouver Island’s third annual Outdoor Show – the largest of its kind on the Island – returns to the Arbutus Meadows Event Centre in Nanoose Bay April 4 to 6. 

And with 60,000 square feet packed with adventure, you’ll find the gear, gadgets, destinations and expertise to fuel your outdoor pursuits, notes show host Darcy Hope, from Evergreen Exhibitions.

“I just love the energy and atmosphere at these shows,” Hope notes. “No matter what you’re passionate about, you’ll find amazing local resources to help you explore and experience the best of the west coast outdoors.”

From substantial purchases like trucks, boats and RVs, to gear and accessories for camping, hiking, fishing and hunting, you’ll find it here, not to mention tips and tools for adventure sports, water sports, survival and overlanding, e-bikes and more. Dreaming of a trip to a remote fishing lodge or paddling adventure? Start your experience here, with the people who can make it happen!

As the show celebrates its third anniversary, expect to see a variety of new exhibitors, in addition to established favourites.

“We look forward to building on the show every year and the 2025 Outdoor Show promises to be even bigger and better,” Hope says.

Add to that an array of amazing prizes, archery and fly-fishing demos and more – and there’s definitely something for everyone!

Plan your visit to the Vancouver Island Outdoor Show, April 4 to 6

Head to the Arbutus Meadows Event Centre, 1515 E Island Hwy. in Nanoose Bay

  • Friday, April 4  –  1 to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 5 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 6 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Demos include archery shooting by Nanaimo Fish & Game, fly casting by Island Waters Fly Fishers and bike jumping by Send Air – Vancouver Island’s only indoor bike park, located on-site.

Admission is just $5 cash or card at the door, with a portion of proceeds supporting Arrowsmith Search & Rescue.

Can’t make the Nanoose event?

Mark your calendars for the Victoria Outdoor Adventure Show, April 25 to 27 at West Shore Parks & Recreation, 1767 Island Hwy. in Colwood, where you’ll see the same great exhibits and displays, plus archery demonstrations from the Victoria Fish & Game Club. Admission is still just $5, with a portion of proceeds supporting the Nature Trust of BC.
