Teva unveils ‘For Playground Earth,’ a bold call to outdoor adventure

This week, Teva launched its most ambitious global campaign in years, ‘For Playground Earth,’ a fully integrated marketing push that reaffirms its heritage in outdoor adventure while inviting a new generation to explore, connect, and protect nature’s greatest playground.
The campaign, led by Teva and produced by Kayser&Co, reinforces Teva’s commitment to crafting innovative performance footwear for trail, water and camp. It also introduces For Playground Earth as the brand’s new rallying cry, a call to embrace nature’s transformative power and the joy of unrestricted play.
“For Playground Earth is more than a tagline – it’s our rallying cry,” commented Lee Cox, global vice-president and general manager of Teva. “In a world that often feels overwhelming, we believe the outdoors offers the ultimate reset. Whether it’s a spontaneous trail run, a riverside jump, or simply wandering without a destination, getting outside to play transforms our well-being and reconnects us: to ourselves, to each other and to the planet.”

Teva, born on a raft in the Grand Canyon over 40 years ago, has always championed the belief that nature is not only a backdrop for adventure but an integral part of connection, community and joy. For Playground Earth pays homage to this philosophy while pushing Teva further into performance-driven innovation.
The campaign’s hero film, a 90-second anthem, captures the essence of Teva’s three core environments – trail, water and camp – showcasing the brand’s latest performance footwear designed for each landscape. With cinematic shots of explorers jumping into rivers, sprinting across rugged terrain and winding down around campfires, the film encapsulates the raw, unfiltered thrill of outdoor adventure.
“For over 40 years, Teva has taken people down rivers, up mountains, along trails and everywhere in between. In the years to come, we’re focusing on revisiting our performance roots, to take the brand further into those wild places than it’s ever been,” said Jess Bensley, product director of Teva.
As part of its renewed focus on performance, Teva has launched the Teva Bureau of Adventure, an ambassador program bringing together elite athletes and outdoor experts to test and shape the future of its footwear.
Returning to the program is ultrarunner Mike Wardian, who tested the brand’s new Aventrail Family shoes while completing the Appalachian Trail. New additions include professional kayakers Dane Jackson and Evy Liebfarth, fly fisherwoman Shyanne Orvis, and ultrarunner Erin Ton, each of whom will play a role in Teva’s product development process.
In addition to encouraging adventure, For Playground Earth emphasizes conservation. Teva has partnered with Leave No Trace to support outdoor stewardship initiatives, donating $100,000 to amplify the nonprofit’s efforts in protecting trails, campsites, parks, and waterways. Through education and hands-on programs, the partnership aims to create a more sustainable future for outdoor recreation.
