The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has implemented a 10-point policy aimed at promoting discipline and teamwork within the national cricket team. The policy, reportedly recommended by head coach Gautam Gambhir, follows recent disappointing performances and seeks to curb “star culture.”

  • Players must adhere to a 150 kg baggage limit for long tours. Excess costs will be borne by individuals.

  • Players are expected to travel with the team for matches and practice sessions. Separate travel arrangements require pre-approval.

-Equipment management for NCA

  • Players sending equipment or personal items to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) must coordinate with team management and cover any additional costs incurred.

-Mandatory participation in BCCI functions

  • Players are required to participate in official BCCI functions and shoots.

-Post-Series stay requirement

  • Players must remain with the team even if matches or series end earlier than scheduled.
