WHEN YOU WERE TOO LITTLE TO REMEMBER. ALL RIGHT, DAVID, THANK YOU. WELL, MISSISSIPPIANS HAVE A NEW WAY TO CONNECT WITH ALL THE NATURAL BEAUTIES THE STATE HAS TO OFFER. GOVERNOR TATE REEVES INTRODUCED THE GREAT MISSISSIPPI NATURE TRAIL TODAY. HE SAYS IT CONNECTS 20 OF THE STATE’S OUTDOOR SPACES. THE INITIATIVE IS A COMBINED EFFORT FROM VISIT MISSISSIPPI, THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE, FISHERIES AND PARKS, AND THE COMMISSION ON WILDLIFE, FISHERIES AND PARKS. THIS TRAIL IS MORE THAN A COLLECTION OF PINS ON A MAP. The Great Mississippi Nature Trail was introduced Monday by Gov. Tate Reeves.Reeves said the trail connects 20 of the state’s outdoor spaces, including rivers, pine forests, and the marshes of the Gulf Coast. “It covers all areas and includes federal parks, state parks, as well as local and privately owned sites,” Reeves said. The initiative is a combined effort from Visit Mississippi, the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, and the Commission on Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
