After 16 years of guiding Eagle Valley children through transformative outdoor adventures, longtime local and conservation advocate Susie Kincade is entrusting her acclaimed camps to a new generation of leaders.
Kincade, an Eagle local for 45 years and founder of Women’s Empowerment Workshop Kids Camps, announced recently that Courtney and Larry Moore, owners of Eagle Climbing + Fitness, will take over the operating license for the camps.
The camps — Caterpillar Girls, Chrysalis Circle, Earth Keeper Explorers, and Earth Keeper Way—will continue at Kincade’s Eagle ranch under a new name: Wild Earth Wisdom Camps.
“It’s time to pass the torch,” Kincade said in a press release. “Building these unique camps that help children discover their personal power through nature adventure has been incredibly fulfilling. Kids need nature-connection now more than ever and the Moores will do a fantastic job taking the camps forward.”
The transition is a natural fit. The Moores have served as rock climbing guides for Kincade’s camps since the beginning, sharing her commitment to youth empowerment through outdoor challenge.
“The Moores have the same principles and values of supporting children through climbing as I’ve followed in my nature adventure camps,” Kincade said. “I’m extremely happy they want to carry the legacy forward.”
Perfect partners for the mission
Courtney Moore brings a background in education and coaching, plus her experience as a competitive rock climber. Larry Moore has coached in the valley for 25 years, and together the Moores built Eagle’s climbing gym in 2018. They see Wild Earth Wisdom Camps as an ideal expansion of their work with young people.
“We’re thrilled because we’ve witnessed firsthand the difference these camps make in children’s lives,” Courtney Moore said. “Susie’s camps have built an incredible foundation of empowerment for our youth. And especially with the challenges kids face today, the connection to nature matters more than ever.”
“Wild Earth Wisdom Camps are a perfect complement to the extensive climbing camps Eagle Climbing + Fitness already offers,” Larry Moore added. “Trust, communication, empowerment, and now deep nature connection — we’re expanding our ability to serve more kids.”
Meanwhile, Kincade will continue to support the community with her nature-based personal coaching business. She’ll also spread the camps’ positive impact far and wide, offering camp licenses to communities throughout Colorado and the U.S.
The camp experience
Caterpillars (girls, June 8-12 and July 6-10) and Earth Keeper Explorers (boys, July 13-17) welcome rising 2nd–5th graders into experiences organized around five elements: earth, air, water, fire, and inner spirit. Children explore their connection to each element and their place within the natural world.
Chrysalis Circle (girls, June 15-20, 2026) and Earth Keeper Way (boys, June 22-27) guide middle and high schoolers toward personal strength, courage, confidence, and resilience through rock climbing, kayaking, outdoor skills, and inner reflection.
Enrollment opened Feb. 15. Parents interested in summer 2026 sessions should register early, as these popular camps fill quickly.
